What is personal data
Personal data is all information that relates to an identified or identifiable natural person. It is therefore crucial whether a personal reference can be made from the data collected. This includes information such as Your name, address, telephone number, email address. Information that is not directly linked to your real identity – such as favorite websites or number of users on a page – are not personal data.
How do we collect and process personal data?
Every time you access our website, user data is transmitted by your internet browser and stored in protocol files (server log files). This stored data includes e.g. name of the site called up, date and time of the request, amount of data transferred and the provider making the request. This data serves exclusively to ensure smooth operation of our website and to improve our offering. Additional personal information such as your name, address, telephone number or email address will not be recorded unless you provide this information voluntarily, e.g. as part of a registration, a survey, a competition, to carry out a contract or an information request. So you can use our websites without submitting personal data. It is not possible to assign this data to a particular person.
Scope of processing personal data
If there is an opportunity to enter personal or business data (email-addresses, names, addresses) on the website, the disclosure of this data by the user is expressly voluntary. Emails are transmitted via a contact form. If you send us such a message, your personal data will only be collected to the extent that it is necessary for a response. The email is transmitted unencrypted.
We use the personal data provided by you exclusively for the purpose of technical administration of the website and to fulfill your wishes and requirements, i.e. to execute a contract with you or to answer your request.
We only use this data for product-related surveys, marketing purposes and statistical purposes insofar as you have given us your prior consent or if you have not lodged an objection – or if it is required by law.
Your personal data will not be passed on, sold or otherwise transmitted to third parties, unless this is necessary for the purpose of contract execution or you have given your express consent. A given consent can be revoked at any time with future effect.
How long will your data be saved?
In principle, we save all information that you transmit to us until the respective, e.g. contractual purpose is fullfilled. This applies for inquiries until completion, for newsletters until you unsubscribe from the newsletter. If longer storage is required by law, the storage takes place within this framework. If you no longer wish that we use your data, we will of course comply with this request immediately (please contact the address given under “Contact”).
When will your data be deleted?
The stored personal data will be deleted if you revoke your consent to the storage, if knowledge of the data is no longer required to fulfill the purpose of the storage or if the storage is inadmissible for other legal reasons. Data for billing and accounting purposes are not affected by a request for deletion.
Use of cookies
We use so-called cookies when you visit our website. These are small text files that are stored on your computer. Cookies help us to determine the frequency of use and the number of users of our website, and to make our offers as convenient and efficient as possible for you.
On the one hand, we use so-called “session cookies”, which are cached only for the duration of your use of one of our internet pages. On the other hand, we use “permanent cookies” to record information about visitors who repeatedly access one of our websites. The purpose of using these cookies is to be able to offer you optimal user guidance, to “recognize” you and to be able to present you with a website that is as varied as possible including new features when used repeatedly. The content of a permanent cookie is limited to an identification number. Name, IP address etc. are not saved. There is no identification of an individual profile about your usage behavior.
A use of our offers is also possible without cookies. You can deactivate the storage of cookies in your browser, restrict it to certain websites or set your browser so that it notifies you as soon as a cookie is sent. Please note, however, that if you deactivate it, you will have to expect a limited display of the page and limited user guidance. Cookies that are required to carry out the electronic communication process or are necessary for the provision of certain functions that you require (e.g. shopping cart function) are saved on the basis of Art. 6 Paragraph. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing cookies for the technically error-free and optimized provision of its services. Insofar as other cookies (e.g. cookies for analyzing your surfing behavior) are stored, these are dealt separately in this data protection declaration.
What we do for processing security
Our company takes all necessary technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal data from loss and misuse. In this way, your data is stored in a secure operating environment that is not accessible to the public. In certain cases, your personal data is encrypted during transmission using what is known as secure socket layer technology (SSL). This means that the communication between your computer and the servers of our company takes place using a recognized encryption method if your browser supports SSL. Or: SSL or TLS encryption.
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or inquiries that you send to us as the site operator, this site uses an SSL or. TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from “http: //” to “https: //” and by the lock symbol in your browser’s address bar.
If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data that you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties. If you want to contact our company via e-mail, we would like to point out that the confidentiality of the transmitted information is not guaranteed. The content of emails can be viewed by third parties. We therefore recommend that you send us confidential information only by mail.
These are your data protection rights
Within the framework of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right for free information about your stored personal data, its origin and possible recipients and the purpose of data processing (Art. 15 GDPR) and, if necessary, the right to correct incorrect data according Art. 16 GDPR, deletion of this data (Art. 17 GDPR) the right to restriction of processing according to Art. 18 GDPR, the right to object (Art. 21 GDPR) as well as the right to data portability of data provided by you according to Art. 20 GDPR. The restrictions under §§ 34 and 35 BDSG apply to the right to information and the right to erasure.
In addition, in the event of violations of data protection law, you have the right to file a complaint at the responsible supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR in conjunction with Section 19 BDSG). The responsible supervisory authority for data protection issues is the state data protection officer of the federal state in which our company is based. A list of data protection officers and their contact details can be found at the following link: https://www.bfdi.bund.de/DE/Infothek/Anschriften_Links/anschriften_links-node.html.
How you can revoke your consent to data processing
Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time. An informal notification by email to us is sufficient. The legality of the data processing carried out before the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.
Changes to the privacy policy
Changes to this data protection notice can be made, which will be announced on time on this page.
